2027 Presidential Election: On the left, the "unionists" are working on the thorny question of a primary

Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Raphaël Glucksmann persist and sign: a left-wing primary, a common candidate and program, is a no for them. Although La France insoumise (LFI) and Place publique continue to shun the joint discussions around Lucie Castets that began on July 2 in Bagneux (Hauts-de-Seine), the other left-wing parties, from the Socialist Party (PS) to the Ecologists, including Génération.s and the former "insoumis" of L'Après, continue to work on the cogs of their joint process called "Front populaire 2027."
Since then, the collective has held numerous meetings and has, in particular, set up a political coordination body, a sort of governing body bringing together the national secretary of the Ecologists, Marine Tondelier, the MP (ex-LFI) for Seine-Saint-Denis, Clémentine Autain, the first secretary of the PS, Olivier Faure, the MP (ex-LFI) for Somme François Ruffin and the MP (The Ecologists) for Yvelines Benjamin Lucas, around Lucie Castets. "We have laid the foundations to speak with one voice on certain subjects, organize our actions on the political and civil society side between now and 2027, and make important decisions," explains the former candidate of the New Popular Front for the post of Prime Minister.
